ANIMATED: Maurice Jones-Drew Injury Sends Jaguars Star Off Field Early

Update: Good news for Jags fans, and for this game's watchability:

Jacksonville Jaguars@jaguarsinsider Jones-Drew has an ankle sprain and is expected to return.

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew left his team's game against the Atlanta Falcons late in the second quarter with what looked to be a right leg injury. He walked off the field under his own power with a visible limp, taking a knee on the sideline, appearing frustrated. And not just because the score was 24-0 at the time.

Here's a look:

MJD has been Jacksonville's entire offense. He leads the league in touches, and it's hard to fathom just how bad this Jags team would be without him. With 27 players already on injured reserve, the Jags can't possibly be cursed enough to lose Jones-Drew for any significant span of time. Can they?

He headed into the locker room with one play left in the half. We'll hope he's able to make it back out.
