The Falcons' playoff path is just about set, but a Monday Night Football battle with the Saints could make for a late momentum boost.

Thanks to the Green Bay Packers, the Atlanta Falcons aren't playing for a playoff bid in the season's last Monday Night Football game (8:30 p.m. ET; ESPN, Falcons radio network, Saints radio network, ESPN radio). Though a postseason appearance is locked up, there's still plenty to play for. Beating the New Orleans Saints, for one.

While splitting the year's bragging rights is one thing, there's still the slim chance of a NFC South title for Atlanta. If Atlanta wins out and New Orleans loses in Week 17, the Birds take the division. But we're ahead of ourselves.

Just beating the Saints in the Increasingly Un-NOLA Monikered Superdome will be challenge enough, as the Falcons are touchdown underdogs. Likely getting back Brent Grimes will help, as will New Orleans likely being without Mark Ingram and maybe being without Lance Moore, according to the latest injury reports.

Drew Brees has a very good chance to break Dan Marino's season yardage record, you might've heard, but a number of Falcons milestones are set to tumble as well.
