A trio of players with Peach State ties reached the second round of EA Sports' voting bracket for Madden 12. Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan demolished Carolina Panthers OT Jordan Gross, perhaps the most overmatched player in the entire bracket, 89 percent to 11, while former Georgia Bulldogs WR Hines Ward topped former Florida Gators DE Carlos Dunlap 72 percent to 28.↵
Former Falcon Michael Vick beat Dallas Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware 76 percent to 24. Elsewhere in the NFC South, New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees slipped past Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman 56 percent to 44.↵
In the next round, Ryan draws Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis, who cruised past Baltimore Ravens RB Ray Rice in round one. Ward gets San Francisco 49ers LB Patrick Willis, Vick faces Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson, and Brees is up against New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez. I'd expect Ryan, Ward, and Vick to advance, while Brees might have a tough time making round three.
