Mark Ingram To Saints As Bill Belichick Strikes Again

The New Orleans Saints just traded a bunch of picks to the New England Patriots, which we'd sort of thought was something teams had learned not to do. They sent their 2011 No. 56 and 2012 first-rounder up north for the right to draft Alabama Crimson Tide RB Mark Ingram.

This gives the Saints one Heisman Trophy winner in their backfield.

Pretty pleased about this pick myself. Any time a team wants to trade with Bill Belichik, I'll merrily presume they wound up with the short end of the stick. If New Orleans wants to give up a bunch of money and picks for yet another running back, that sounds fine.
