NFL Draft Results: Akeem Dent Pick Finally Gives Atlanta Falcons A Dawg

The Atlanta Falcons missed on trading up for Georgia Bulldogs WR A.J. Green in round one of the 2011 NFL Draft. DE Justin Houston failed to drop to the Falcons in round three, as those of us gathered here were hoping. But the Falcons were not denied in their quest to pick a Dawg, grabbing LB Akeem Dent with pick No. 91.

The six-foot-one senior is a run-stuffer who can play either inside or outside, switching from a 4-3 to a 3-4 with no hiccups. Obviously Thomas Dimitroff is not as concerned with the team's pass rush as you are, as the team has been projected to select a pass rusher by now.

Much more to come on this pick.
