I'm told Atlanta Falcons FB Ovie Mughelli will sing the "Star-Spangled Banner" at the Georgia Force game on April 8. This is not a news item I just made up, but it is indeed awesome. The six-foot-one, 255-pound powerhouse is no rookie vocalist, boasting a membership in the 32-member NFL Players Choir.
↵Pro Bowler Mughelli is an interesting cat. He's previously been honored for his environmental awareness and was once invited to ring the NASDAQ closing bell. His website's entire video collection is an excellent profile of an interesting man being interesting, in fact.
↵The Force are scheduled to take on the Dallas Vigilantes at 8 pm ET in Gwinnett Arena, kicking off the team's return to metro Atlanta. The game will be televised on NFL Network. If the network fails to televise Ovie's anthem, they really have no idea what they're doing.
