Bobby Petrino's An OK Guy*

We never, ever miss a chance to point out as many of Arkansas Razorbacks football coach Bobby Petrino's unending chronicle of flaws as possible, so it's only fair to note his arrival as the misunderstood genius with a heart of gold in Ryan Mallett's transfer from Michigan. Mallett's mother, on the transition from Lloyd Carr to Petrino:

Bobby Petrino was the polar opposite of Lloyd Carr, who is the warmest, sweetest man. Petrino was all business. That was a turn-off for me ... After the season, I wrote (Petrino) a note and said, ‘If any parent wants my phone number, feel free to give it to them.'

How sweet! We all know how much coach Petrino likes to write letters. It's about time somebody sent him one back.

* It's just that it takes an entire season to realize that. What? No, that's not a snipe. She said "after the season."
