A couple more insights on the upcoming NFL schedule: Roddy White told NFL Network that Atlanta Falcons players will report to Flowery Branch by Wednesday, just a day shy of the target date White had mentioned on ESPN last week. Players will undergo physicals and fill out cards to re-certify the NFLPA, and then camp will begin on Thursday.
Physicals could prove to be a disaster for some teams, but most NFC South teams stayed busy during the offseason. The Falcons and New Orleans Saints had weeks-long hacked-together minicamps, while the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had a shorter program that at least involved a large portion of the roster.
White, Eric Weems and Harry Douglas have spent the early afternoon ribbing each other about who's the most out-of-shape. That group includes two Pro Bowlers, a player looking for a new deal and a player with something to prove after two injury-hampered seasons, so I wouldn't worry too much about any of them being anything less than ready to go.
