Teammates Inquire About Michael Turner's Surgery: Falcons Training Camp Photo Of The Day

After the first Falcons practice of 2011, Michael Turner made a point of telling assembled media that he'd recovered just fine from groin surgery. Nobody asked him about it beforehand. Nobody knew he'd had groin surgery. He didn't have to say anything about it, but seemed to want to bring it up. He was asked whether he suffered the injury during last season and whether it affected his play.

Turner evidently knows his total performance in 2010 wasn't quite as dominating as most would hope, even though he still had a good year. He wanted you to know there was a reason for that, Falcons fan, and that the reason has been addressed.

This photo isn't really all that relevant. It's just that photos of tackles from non-contact practices always look funny.

Teammate: "How's your groin, sir?"

Michael Turner: "Not now; we are in the middle of a simulated sports play."
