Falcons Vs. Ravens: NFL's Most Curious Rivalry Provides Preseason Finale

Thursday night, the Ravens hit the Georgia Dome to give the Falcons their final test before the regular season begins.

Matt Ryan and Joe Flacco were drafted in the same round. Since then, they've been compared to each other. The biased Atlanta Falcons fan contends that Ryan is better based on his many stunning magazine covers, while the biased Baltimore Ravens fan insists Flacco is better due to the playoff record he put together all by himself without the help of some of the best defensive players in NFL history.

The Ravens also knocked Michael Vick out for most of the 2003 season in a preseason game, for which I will never forgive them. Likewise, Baltimore still smarts from Roddy White's game-winning catch against the Ravens last year.

OK, so we're supposed to hate the Ravens now, I guess. Preseason hatred engaged!

The Falcons have a darn slew of roster cuts ahead of them, and Thursday night the Georgia Dome will provide the surgical table. Expect key players to play like zero plays, making this game the game for only the most hardcore Falcoholics, especially since Russell Wilson will be playing for the Wisconsin Badgers just a few channels over.
