On October 16, 1994, San Francisco 49ers cornerback Deion Sanders declared the Georgia Dome to be his property and a dwelling that he had in fact constructed. Sixteen years later, he'd announce the building had changed hands at some point and now belongs to Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
On December 6, 2009, Philadelphia Eagles backup quarterback Michael Vick didn't really have to say anything for it to be clear whose name was still on the Dome's deed.
Vick was asked this time around about whether he still runs the joint. He replied in the negative, having checked the records and confirmed Sanders' finding that the establishment has become a financial concern of Ryan's.
Coming up next, former Falcons greats Claude Humphrey and Bobby Butler will be questioned regarding the ownership status of Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium. They will point to a parking lot outside of Turner Field and asks you whether one can ever really own anything, but now you've just gotten Humphrey and Butler started in on something philosophical and you might as well settle in.
