As first reported by SBNation.com, Madonna will be the main event at the Super Bowl halftime show this year. Now The Insider reports Atlanta's Cee-Lo Green could also perform, making this already the best Super Bowl halftime show ever even if it doesn't actually happen. Prince's was pretty good, so maybe second. LMFAO and Nicki Minaj are also reported though, so it really doesn't sound like there would be much time for anything from the vault.
Hands down the most Atlanta Super Bowl halftime ever, at least, just for maybe including Cee-Lo. The previous record holder might be 1998's, which featured Grambling State's band. I know Grambling State isn't in Atlanta, but we do really like bands.
The one with Travis Tritt was the most Marietta halftime show ever even though it was at the Georgia Dome (he's just that Marietta), and the one with James Brown was certainly the most Georgia. It's a fine line.
