It's no secret the Atlanta Falcons entered free agency prepared to lose four-year middle linebacker Curtis Lofton. With a defensive scheme change and Lofa Tatupu inbound for Flowery Branch, it's not surprising to hear early reports that Lofton's being targeted by other teams. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have emerged as the primary contender, according to the rumors.
Bucs getting after it. Reach agreement with WR Vincent Jackson & making push for Curtis Lofton & Carl Nicks.

The Bucs have a lot of cap room to get rid of, and would you look at them go! Nicks was also supposedly a Falcons target at one point, but Vince Manuwai may have been Atlanta's big offensive line addition for the time being.
One radio report even has the Bucs already signing Lofton, but we're not exactly familiar with Tampa radio. The Atlanta side reports otherwise:
Just checked with someone in the Curtis Lofton camp.. nothing official regarding the reports of his signing w/ #Buccaneers
