Douglas had a career year for the Falcons in 2011 catching 39 passes for 498 yards and one touchdown. Douglas was slotted into the No. 3 receiver slot in Atlanta behind starters Roddy White and Julio Jones. The Rams offer would provide Douglas with a bigger role in the St Louis offense and potentially a shot at being the No. 1 or No. 2 receiver.
Douglas was a third-round selection by the Falcons in the 2008 NFL Draft out of Louisville. In his career he has 84 receptions for 1,112 yards and three touchdowns.
