Update: This has been confirmed by the Bears.
Atlanta Falcons Pro Bowl special teamer Eric Weems wasn't expected to rejoin the team, especially not after Atlanta re-signed wide receiver Harry Douglas. The latest report connects him to the Chicago Bears, who really need help on kick returns -- they already have the best kick returner in NFL history, you see. But all right.
WR-KR Eric Weems is joining the Chicago Bears on a three-year deal, according to a league source

Weems has been a solid return man who broke a couple of big touchdowns in 2010 on his way to the Pro Bowl. He's never been able to get on the field as a wide receiver all that often, but he could be a useful slot receiver and could perhaps free up Devin Hester from some of his offensive obligations. With Brandon Marshall coming aboard, there really wouldn't be that much pressure on a player like Weems in Chicago.
