After almost 24 hours of free agency with very little news coming out of the Atlanta Falcons, certain Birds fans are getting a little antsy. The good news is Atlanta is acting like the opposite of the Washington Redskins, and that's always a good sign.
Unofficial team spokesman Roddy White prepared a statement on the status of Atlanta free agency thus far:
We cant sign Mario Williams because we don't have any money to fans that's why we are not trying to get him

He's right, of course, as even with that bonus by way of the Cowboys and Redskins the Falcons can only afford about half a Mario Williams. That's assuming nobody gets cut, of course, which is always a possibility. Still, there's been a buzz for weeks now that the Falcons will pursue Williams, with multiple national outlets putting Atlanta in the race.
I like Roddy White. Everybody likes Roddy White.
