The Atlanta Falcons have a major need at defense end, with John Abraham likely exiting and little qualified talent beyond him. Mario Williams of the Houston Texans was believed to be a main target for Atlanta, but his journey to visit the Buffalo Bills sounds like it went better than anyone foresaw.
Numerous outlets are reporting Williams is working on a deal with Buffalo, including ESPN and Fox Sports. It's not official by any means, but Buffalo's clearly got its chance. Whether he was ever actually a prospect for the Falcons or not could remain unknown, as his price tag would've meant cutting players anyway.
Last year, the Falcons were able to re-sign Tyson Clabo despite his taking a visit to Buffalo. This time around, it sounds like the Bills aren't just boosting contracts for free agents. How long has it been since the Bills were able to lure a top free agent all the way to darn near Canada? Kind of happy for them if this ends up happening, actually.
