Atlanta Falcons middle linebacker Curtis Lofton leaving for a NFC South team didn't seem like all that big a deal when it was the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who were supposedly in the running. And seeing him team up with Michael Vick on the Philadelphia Eagles wouldn't feel like all that huge a deal either. But the New Orleans Saints?
Saints showing interest in ATL LB Curtis Lofton. TB been monitoring him. PHI also looking at LB. Slow moving market thus far #freeagency

The Saints could very well lose Jonathan Vilma to #GreggGate, and they're as aware as anybody is of what Lofton can do. He's played against them eight times, you see.
The Falcons are all but set on losing Lofton, having brought on Lofa Tatupu to contend for a starting job in the middle. With Sean Weatherspoon capable of playing all three downs, the Birds really only need one other swift linebacker to have a capable linebacking corps.
