Here we now have another report that Atlanta Falcons middle linebacker Curtis Lofton is drawing interest from the New Orleans Saints. And not just interest, but a visit as well. This is the first word we've heard on that front regarding Lofton period, let alone with the Saints involved.

The Falcons weren't expected to retain Lofton, who's been with the team for four years and is set to cash in on his first non-rookie contract. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles have also reportedly showed interest in bringing on the former Oklahoma Sooners star.
But with the Saints possibly losing Jonathan Vilma, Lofton could be a spark of relative youth for a defense going through a transition. He'd also join a brief list of players who've taken up both sides of the South's most intense pro rivalry, and be perhaps the only one to have done it just before entering the peak of his career.
