Madden 2013 Cover Vote: Matt Ryan Takes On Drew Brees

It's going to be an upset if an Atlanta Falcon ends up on the cover of Madden 2013. The Falcons' representative in this year's Madden tournament vote is quarterback Matt Ryan, who has previously been an EA Sports cover athlete before.

Ryan's 2011 campaign was good enough to earn him the honors of being Atlanta's representative in the vote -- and the No. 13 seed. Ryan threw for over 4,100 yards and 29 touchdowns, and led the Falcons to an NFC Wild Card berth.

Unfortunately for Ryan, he's facing off against former Madden cover boy Drew Brees, who, you know, broke Dan Marino's single season passing record in 2011, as he threw for a staggering 5,476 yards and 46 touchdowns.

Still, there may be some hope for Ryan. Since it's a public vote, there may be some anti-Saints sentiment among voters, thanks to the details of New Orleans' bounty program emerging.

Fans can cast their vote over at ESPN's Sports Nation page. First round voting will run through March 28.
