VIDEO: Explaining Gregg Williams' Bounty System And What The Saints Are In For

The New Orleans Saints are not having a good week. Just how not good? In addition to having to pay Drew Brees more than they'd like, they're also the subject of a three-year NFL investigation into former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, who ran a bounty system that paid players to injure opponents.

How hard will the Atlanta Falcons' archrivals be hammered by the NFL? SB Nation's own league expert Brad Wells speaks to SB Nation's own (everyone is our own!) Dan Rubenstein about that very thing, and I think the most merciless Falcons fans are gonna like what they hear:

Draft picks and suspensions could be quite devastating -- suspensions would likely include Jonathan Vilma and maybe even Sean Payton himself. Some are daydreaming up more creative punishments, like vacated wins and the loss of a franchise tag, which would make re-signing Brees more difficult. It's fun to daydream, but those aren't happening.
