Former Atlanta Falcons linebacker / special teams maven (and wacky prankster!) Coy Wire told 790 The Zone in Atlanta that the Falcons never had a bounty system in place during his time with the franchise. Wire was a part of the Falcons roster from 2008-'10 after coming over from Buffalo, where he played under defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, whose accused of creating a payment system for players who injure the opposing team while he was in New Orleans. Wire confirmed Sunday the Bills had a bounty system under Williams.
↵To review: These upstanding academics were offering cash for professional athletes to be injured, but this Charles Bronson look-a-like wasn't. Stereotypes are a terrible thing, people. Never judge a book by its cover, unless it wears creepy sunglasses indoors.
