NFL Free Agency 2012: Falcons Re-Sign DE Kroy Biermann

The Atlanta Falcons are already making moves to prepare for their 2012 season in the fall. Although free agency is just about a week away, the team is working on ensuring that their key players will remain through at least the upcoming season.

The official Twitter feed of the Atlanta Falcons announced on Wednesday that the team has re-signed defensive end Kroy Biermann. The immediate specifics of the deal were not disclosed at this time, but this means that Biermann will be back in black (and also red) for the 2012 season.

Biermann was a fifth-round draft pick for the Falcons in the 2008 NFL Draft and has been with the team ever since. He has 135 tackles, 12 sacks and a forced fumble in his NFL career. He also has a nifty two touchdowns on two career interceptions.
