It was reported on Monday that Samuel was likely to be traded before the draft. Samuel is owed $21.5 million over the next two seasons, but that deal may need to be adjusted. There is no word yet on the details of the contractual agreements.
The Denver Post reported the Broncos showed interest in Samuel, possibly giving up a pair of late round picks for the veteran, but that deal seems unlikely.
Samuel had 34 tackles and two interceptions for the Eagles last season.
