The Falcons now are involved in discussions to trade for Eagles cornerback Asante Samuel, according to sources in Atlanta.— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) April 24, 2012
It was reported on Monday that Samuel was likely to be traded before the draft. Samuel is owed $21.5 million over the next two seasons, but that deal may need to be adjusted. There is no word yet on the details of the contractual agreements.
Samuel had 34 tackles and two interceptions for the Eagles last season.
