2012 NFL Draft: Blair Walsh Selected By Minnesota Vikings At Pick No. 175

With the 175th selection in the 6th round of the 2012 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected Blair Walsh, the kicker from the Georgia Bulldogs. Walsh was projected to go in the seventh round, but the Vikings must have had Walsh high on their board and got their man a round early.

Walsh was ranked as the No. 1 kicker in the 2012 NFL Draft, and is the NCAA record holder with at least one field goal in 45 consecutive games. Walsh has scored over 100 points in each of the last three seasons.

The Georgia Bulldogs now have five players selected in the 2012 NFL Draft as Walsh joins Orson Charles, Brandon Boykin, Ben Jones and Cordy Glenn.
