Top NFL Rookie Free Agent Signings: Falcons Ink Jerrell Harris Of Alabama

The Atlanta Falcons signing Alabama Crimson Tide linebacker Jerrell Harris as an undrafted free agent could turn out to pay huge dividends for the franchise. The National Football Post already has Harris being the second-best undrafted rookie free agent signings in 2012, behind the Arizona Cardinals landing defensive end Zach Nash of Sacramento State.

Here is what the Post had to say about the signing:

"A throwback linebacker who can be a solid NFL contributor vs. the run game. Looks like a 34 guy only who needs to play in tighter areas, but isn't a real natural pass rusher. Nevertheless, he's a plus run defender with good size and instincts. Can offer some versatility inside as well."

Jerrell runs a 4.70 40-time and is a member two national championship squads at Alabama and recorded 22 tackles for the Crimson Tide in 2011.
