2012 Falcons Offseason: Offensive Line Intact On First Day Of OTAs

There figures to be a lot of competition for a couple of spots along the Atlanta Falcons' offensive line for the 2012 season but when OTAs began on Tuesday the line was still intact with last season's starters.

Todd McClure was in his familiar center position and was flanked by guards Justin Blaylock and Garrett Reynolds. Sam Baker and Tyson Clabo were holding down the tackle positions. The second unit featured Vince Manuwai and Mike Johnson at guards, Andrew Jackson and Will Sevitek at tackles with Joe Hawley at center.

The third team consisted of second round pick Peter Konz at guard along with Phillip Manley. Tyler Horn lined up at center and Bryce Harris was at tackle. Lamar Holmes is still not practicing because of a foot injury.

There figures to be quite a bit of cross training along the offensive line in the coming days with Konz in particular expected to challenge for a starting job at the guard position.
