Corey Peters Injury: Atlanta Falcons Expect His Return By Training Camp

Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Corey Peters will miss the rest of organized team activities this summer after suffering a foot injury this offseason, but is expected to make his return by the start of training camp in July, the team said.

The specifics of the foot injury and cause of it were unclear, but obviously having Peters back by training camp is a good sign and causes little need to worry about third-round pick from 2010.

Peters made a slight imprint on the Falcons' defense last season, recording three sacks, 33 tackles and six of them for losses. Perhaps the highlights of Peters' season as a starter last year were when he scored a touchdown on a 13-yard fumble return against the Jacksonville Jaguars and had an interception against the Carolina Panthers.
