The Atlanta Falcons are bringing in a fresh leg in undrafted rookie kicker Eric Folk who had a standout career at the University of Washington. Folk takes the roster spot of long snapper Corey Adams who was waived last week.
While at Washington Folk connected on all of his 124 PAT attempts and 42 career field goals. His career long is a 53 yarder against Eastern Washington. Folk will compete with incumbent kicker Matt Bryant who also had an excellent season for the Falcons last season.
Bryant missed just two field goal attempts last season and connected on all of his extra point attempts. Atlanta isn't likely to be looking to replace Bryant but can take a closer look at Folk and perhaps even stash him on the practice squad if need be.
Folk is the brother of New York Jets kicker Nick Folk.
