Lamar Holmes Injury: Falcons' Rookie Out Until Training Camp With Toe Injury

After a re-examination of injured third-round pick Lamar Holmes's toe the Atlanta Falcons have determined that Holmes will be held out until the team begins training camp in late July.

"Lamar Holmes will not participate in the rest of the offseason program. We are going to be very precautionary."

The team is being very cautious with Holmes who's condition is reportedly improving and is out of the walking boot. The Falcons had originally hoped to have Holmes available for the team's mini camp that is scheduled for later this month. Holmes has missed all of rookie camp and all of the OTAs since being drafted by the team.

Like Holmes, defensive tackle Corey Peters has also been ruled out until the start of training camp. Peters has a foot injury that has prevented him from taking part in OTAs and will sideline him from participating in mini camp.
