2012 Falcons Offseason: Atlanta Safeties Ranked 15th By SB Nation

SB Nation NFL writer Ryan Van Bibber continues his position-by-position look at the NFL and this time focuses on the safety position. Van Bibber ranks the Falcons' safety tandem of William Moore and Thomas DeCoud 15th out of the 32-team league.

On Moore, Van Bibber sees an elite level talent with a full year of experience under his belt but he less confident in DeCoud whom he terms the "weak link" in the Falcons revamped secondary.

I believe William Moore can climb into the elite ranks of safeties with a full season of play this year. He had a solid second season in 2011, but was limited by a variety of ailments. Thomas DeCloud is a weak link, but the Falcons were happy enough to give him a five-year contract extension. A better group of corners behind Brent Grimes could help.
