Michael Turner Will Play In Falcons-Chargers Game Despite DUI Arrest

Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner will play in this Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers, according to a tweet by the team. Turner was caught speeding at 32 miles per hour over the speed limit after he was out celebrating the team's 27-21 win over the Denver Broncos.

After he was pulled over, the arresting office said that there was the smell of alcohol on Turner's breath. The officer then arrested Turner after he participated in a field sobriety test.

The 30-year-old running back spent two hours in the Gwinett County Jail before being released on $2,179 bond. Turner ran the ball 17 times for 42 yards in Monday's game and scored the first touchdown for the Falcons.

The Falcons play the Chargers at Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday. The game is scheduled to kick off at 4:05 p.m. and will be broadcast on Fox.
