Thomas DeCoud Huge In Win Over Chargers

The Atlanta Falcons defeated the San Diego Chargers on Sunday with little trouble, and a big reason for that was safety Thomas DeCoud, who intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble. Fellow safety William Moore also recovered a fumble.

"That's one of the things William and I have taken to heart as safeties, especially in this new system," said DeCoud. "You've got to get the ball back, and we have a lot of opportunities to do that. It's evident in our play right now."

With help from the four takeaways, the Atlanta defense was able to limit San Diego to just three points and 280 total yards. The Chargers possessed the ball for just 23:46, which put added pressure on their defense.

The 3-0 Falcons face the Carolina Panthers in Week 4.
