Falcons Vs. Chargers: Michael Turner Happy To Play In San Diego

Michael Turner had a roller coaster of a week. Turner helped lead the Atlanta Falcons past the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football, but then was pulled over early Tuesday morning for driving under the influence.

Turner, who played on Sunday in Atlanta's win over San Diego, was happy to return back to San Diego -- where he began his professional career.

"This was probably the best place for me to be, in San Diego," Turner said. "Getting out here early, I got a chance to see some old friends and just reflected on the good times. It brought back some good memories. This trip couldn't have come at a better time for me."

To his credit, Turner has owned up to his DUI, and has publicly apologized for his lack of discretion. Turner is fortunate to not have hurt anybody, or himself, last Tuesday morning.

Still, it's good that Turner was able to clear his head, and get in a good place mentally again.
