The Atlanta Falcons are becoming known as a force to be reckoned with, and that's reflected in the Week 4 power rankings. They're 3-0, Matt Ryan is averaging more than 250 yards per game, and they dominated the San Diego Chargers in Week 3. After years of almost-but-not-quite, the Falcons are looking like serious contenders.
SB Nation's own Joel Thorman has the birds at the very top of his power rankings. Giving them the No. 1 spot over the Houston Texans was a coin flip, says Thorman, but their potential gave them the spot. ESPN.com has the Falcons second in their rankings. Yahoo! Sports gives them the same spot, crediting Ryan's 72 percent completion rate and eight touchdowns versus one interception.
