Tony Gonzalez already holds almost every NFL tight end receiving record, but reaching 100 career touchdowns would add even more to this Hall of Fame legacy, writes Daniel Cox of atlantafalcons.com. Gonzalez is just 2 touchdown receptions away from the milestone.
Gonzalez, who is set to retire after this season, still seeks his first playoff victory and is chasing a Super Bowl, but his individual resume exceeds anyone to ever play his position. Touchdown catch No. 100 would move him into sole possession of eighth place all time:
"I think the 100 touchdowns would be kind of cool. After that, my bucket list is playing in the final game of the season for the NFL and hopefully we can get that done. That's more important to me than anything else."
Gonzalez already has three touchdown catches on the season, one in each game of the Falcons' season-opening three-game winning streak.
