Roddy White's opinion means little to Victor Cruz

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz has responded negatively to Roddy White's assessment that Cruz was a slot receiver

Jake Roth-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz pulled the "I have a ring" card in response to Roddy White's perceived trash talk in an NFL Network interview. The "shot" in question? White's declaration that "Victor Cruz is a lot more of a slot receiver; the big boys play on the outside."

The comment was in answer to the question of whether White and Julio Jones were a better receiving duo than Cruz and Hakeen Nicks (White said yes, of course), not necessarily an unsolicited dig at Cruz. Still, the Giants star didn't take kindly to it:

"I couldn't care less about what anybody else has to say," Cruz told the Star-Ledger. "I got a ring back at home. I don't care what Roddy White has to say."

The issue will likely die down well before Week 15, when the defending champion Giants travel to the Georgia Dome to face White and the Falcons. In the meantime, the Falcons host the Panthers on Sunday afternoon and the Giants play in Philadelphia Sunday night.
