I guess Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra can stick around for a while after all. A few weeks after the Miami Heat coach was given the bump of death by LeBron James, the youthful looking Heat coach can breathe a short sigh of relief. Miami (19-8) finally has found its groove on South Beach.
↵The Heat has won 10 straight -- including a win over the Atlanta Hawks -- en route to leapfrogging both Atlanta and the Orlando Magic to the head of the class in the rugged Southeast Division. Miami has simply not lost in the month of December.
↵While the Heat have been scorching the opposition, the Magic (16-9) seem to have lost their spell casting ability over the rest of the league. They are just 5-5 in their last 10 games and hold a one-half game lead over the Hawks for the second-best record in the division.
↵Atlanta (16-10) has played better of late, winning seven of its last 10, but is just 10-10 since starting the season by winning its first six games entering their Thursday night TNT telecast against the Boston Celtics.
