Atlanta Hawks Vs. New Jersey Nets: Hawks 62, Nets 62, END 3: Hawks Playing Down To Level Of Competition

No matter what the Atlanta Hawks do, they seemingly cannot shake the New Jersey Nets.  And some of what the Hawks are trying to do is just plain ugly.  It's fine if you have the uncontested 3-pointer, Maurice Evans, but it doesn't do you any good if you don't have enough people at the basket to grab a rebound if you miss. I've seen too many bad shots and too poor of a shot selection that I am having those 2004-05 flashbacks again.  Those ugly 13-win teams.

The Hawks should be killing the Nets. They stink. But once again, they're allowing one of these un-good teams to stick around and stick around and stick around and they could very well lose this basketball game.  Atlanta does not have a field goal in the last 4 1/2 minutes of the game.

Mike Bibby leads the Hawks with 14 points, while Al Horford has 13 and Joe Johnson has chimed in 12.  Josh Smith is a miserable 1-for-7 from the field and may spend a good part of the fourth on the bench with four fouls.  This is not the way to get things done against one of the worst teams in the league.

Devin Harris has 18 to lead the Nets, who look to sweep the season set at the Prudential Center in Brick City.
