↵Military Bowl: East Carolina Pirates at Maryland Terrapins, 2:30, ESPN: Maryland faces the Pirates long after they should've gone ahead and settled on naming a pirate their next head coach as soon as they can. Little bit anxious to see what romantic sea terrorists are capable of doing in something called "the Military Bowl." ECU has a horrifyingly bad defense, Maryland has been drastically overrated at every point which they've actually been rated -- this is the most 2:30 bowl game yet. Peace to former Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets offensive coordinator Ralph Friedgen, and click here for coverage.
↵Texas Bowl: Illinois Fighting Illini at Baylor Bears, 6, ESPN: Not so sure about Ron Zook (saying it out loud is the first step) beating a Texas team in such a flagrantly named bowl. Baylor has been likewise overrated, and I know zero facts about this year's Illini team. For a far superior preview, click here.
↵Alamo Bowl, Oklahoma St. Cowboys at Arizona Wildcats, 9:15, ESPN: Don't even think about going to bed early tonight, because this thing could outscore the BCS National Championship Game. Is today the day with the butchest bowl names or what? Momentarily glad our bowl game is no longer named after soft, fuzzy fruit. Click for more Alamo Bowl.
