Atlanta Hawks Vs. Charlotte Bobcats Score: Joe Johnson Scores Eleven, But Hawks Trail By Five After One

Joe Johnson scored 11 first quarter points but the Hawks trail by five 29-24 at the close of the first quarter. D.J. Augustine scored eight points for the Bobcats.

Offensively, the Hawks got off to a fast start hitting on four of their first six field goal attempts. The cooled off in the later part of the quarter and once again became very perimeter oriented. If they are going to have any hopes of pulling this game out then they are going to have to get something inside out of the offense. Whether that is Joe Johnson, Josh Smith, or someone else.

A couple of Stephen Jackson three point shots got the Bobcats back in the game after Atlanta built an early nine point lead. D.J. Augustine continues to be the biggest beneficiary of Charlotte's coaching change as he has been on the attack from the outset.
