New York Knicks - Atlanta Hawks Score: Hawks Take 91-76 Lead Into Fourth Quarter

Joe Johnson's on fire.  But then again, so is Amare Stoudemire.

Johnson has 28 points and Stoudemire has 21 as the Atlanta Hawks take a 91-76 lead over the New York Knicks as the teams enter the last quarter.

The Hawks lead by as many as 24 in this one before Stoudemire scored nine of New York's final 14 points in the frame.  The Bricks Knicks cut the lead to 12 with a 14-2 run before Maurice Evans ended the third with a 3-pointer to restore a 15 point edge.

Josh Smith has 17 points and Al Horford has 14 points and 12 boards for Atlanta, which is looking to open up a big enough lead to rest its starters for part of the fourth quarter.  The Hawks head to Texas to take on the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night.

Should the Knicks lose this one, they can blame it on not getting to the line.  While Stoudemire has gotten to the charity stripe seven times, the rest of New York's basketball team has not attempted a free throw.  Atlanta has 17 tries from the line in the first three quarters.
