The Atlanta Hawks are doing all they can just to stay within striking distance as the fourth quarter is set to begin. Houston extended their halftime lead to 72-60 at the end of the third and the Hawks look like they are going to need a shot of energy to have any hope in this one.
Houston extended their lead thanks to some nice long range shooting and by crashing the offensive glass. Kevin Martin has a game-high 21 points through three quarters and is 5-10 from three-point range. Luis Scola has 15 points and Chase Budinger 12 for Houston. Kyle Lowry still has not scored in the game but has a game-high 14 assists.
Al Horford leads Atlanta with 13 points and six rebounds. Josh Smith has 12 and Joe Johnson 11 for Atlanta. Jeff Teague was replaced mid-way through the third quarter by Larry Drew and has looked passive most of the night. Teague hasn't scored and has only attempted one shot from the field to go along with four assists.
