2011 NBA All-Star Weekend: Justin Bieber For Threeeee, But West Trails East 33-21 At The Half

Justin Bieber got all of those freakish high-pitched squeals when he was announced to the crowd at the L.A. Convention Center. And let's face it, most of us didn't expect much from the kid. He's short and kinda looks like a girl. But the kid from Canada who lives in Atlanta can dish the basketball. He has two assists and even nailed a 3-pointer, too. (We won't talk about those other ones he missed.)

In a game like this, the score keeping is a bit loose -- but let's face it, does it really matter if Bieber is 1-for-5 or 1-for-6 from the field?

The defense is porous also.

But the Eastern Conference team lead by Scottie Pippen is taking it to their West Coast counterparts. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan has also been very good for an Eastern Conference team (his pickup games with President Obama must really keep him in shape).

The East used a 12-2 run after the West scored the first bucket of a game to establish a 14-2 lead and never looked back. But there's still time for Magic Johnson's West to stage a comeback. Perhaps Bieber fever can spill over onto the court and those shrieking girls will go home happy.
