2011 NBA All-Star Weekend: Al Horford Leads Team Atlanta To Win In Haier Shooting Stars Competition

Al Horford, Coco Miller, and Steve Smith combined to bring Atlanta home a win in the Haier Shooting Stars contest. Team Atlanta advanced from the first round with a time of 47.6 seconds. Horford knocked down the half court shot in just the sixth attempt for the team. 

Team Texas led by Dirk Nowitzki and TNT analyst Kenny Smith posted the fastest time in first round making all six shots in just 31.8 seconds. Smith knocked down the half court shot in the first attempt for the team. 

Team Los Angeles finished a distant third with a time of 55.8 seconds while Team Chicago finished dead last with a time of 1:06.

Atlanta got off to a great start in the finals but struggled to knock down the half court shot. Al Horford finally delivered on the team's 18th attempt giving them a time of 1:10. Team Texas flew through the first six shots but never did connect on the half court shot which gave Atlanta the victory.

Team Atlanta is comprised of the Atlanta Hawks two time All-Star Al Horford, Atlanta Dream guard Coco Miller, and Atlanta Hawks legend Steve Smith.
