While it's not the stuff the biggest NBA trade rumors are made of (head to SB Nation's NBA hub for more on those), Atlanta Hawks center Zaza Pachulia was held out of last night's game against the Phoenix Suns. Joining him on the inactive list were the three players the Hawks actually did trade, Mike Bibby, Jordan Crawford, and Mo Evans.
Could the acquisition of Hilton Armstrong free the Hawks up to deal Pachulia for another position of need? Does the team need three centers, if Armstrong and Jason Collins can hold down the spot on the nights when Al Horford is mercifully allowed to play his actual position?
It's hard to say what the team's specific and immediately addressable needs are at this point, other than center itself, and Pachulia by himself isn't going to fetch a game-changer anyway. All the players the team has reportedly been interested in have been point guards, and trading for Kirk Hinrich would seem to do away with the need to go get another one, unless we're giving up on Jeff Teague entirely.
