NBA Southeast Standings: Hawks Move Into Second Place In Southeast Division Behind Heat

Fresh off of a 3-0 week, the Atlanta Hawks moved past the Orlando Magic and into second place in the NBA's Southeast division. The Hawks trail the Miami Heat by four games for the division lead. Atlanta's 33-18 record is currently good enough for fourth place in the Eastern Conference and trails only Boston, Miami, and Chicago. The Hawks are just two games back of the Bulls whom they have yet to play this season.

While the Heat and the Hawks were able to mount winning streaks last week, things weren't as good for the other Southeast division teams. Orlando is 5-5 in its last ten games and has fallen to 5.5 games behind the Heat. Charlotte has slipped to ninth place in the conference due to a two game losing streak. Washington is thankful for Cleveland as the Wizards current eight game losing streak is hardly noticed when compared to the 24 straight losses by the Cavaliers.
