Hawks at Bulls Score: Chicago Leads Atlanta 22-20 Through One

Luol Deng played for the Chicago Bulls. The first quarter was otherwise really uneventful, if not downright ugly.

Deng has a game-high six points and Kurt Thomas and Derrick Rose have four each as the Bulls posted a 22-20 lead over the Atlanta Hawks through one quarter at the United Center.

Kirk Hinrich has five points in his return to Chicago for the Hawks, who are shooting just 36-percent (5-for-14) from the field.

It's not like the Bulls are playing much better. They are just shooting 31-percent (5-for-16) from the field in this one, but hold a 14-9 edge on the glass, which has translated into the slim lead through the first 12 minutes.

Atlanta's Josh Smith had four points in the first six minutes of the first before leaving after picking up his second foul at the 6:09 mark of the frame.

The Hawks look to end a three game slide, while the Bulls look to extend their winning streak to five. Chicago has also won 17 of 18 at the United Center.
