Bucks At Hawks Score: Atlanta Leads Milwaukee 28-17 Through One

Who exactly is that dude in a headband?

Joe Johnson has 11 points and Josh Smith added 10 and six rebounds to post the Atlanta Hawks to a 28-17 lead over the Milwaukee Bucks through one quarter at Philips Arena.

Andrew Bogut and John Salmons have six each for the Bucks, who shot just 36-percent in the first 12 minutes.

Let's just say that this one didn't look good for Atlanta early. Perhaps the defense was standing around and staring at the blue black headband that Joe Johnson is wearing or just had their mouths dropped in awe over the thousands of empty primo seats at Philips Arena at the tip, but the Bucks -- yes the Bucks team that couldn't buy a bucket in Boston or much of anywhere this season -- scored 11 quick points to open up an 11-10 lead.

But Johnson and the Hawks finally said enough, Does, racheted up the defense and took care of business on the court.

Smith had a few jams. Johnson hit shot-after-shot. And the Bucks shots -- well -- insert your bad hunting joke here. Atlanta scored the last 11 points of the frame to open up some separation. Milwaukee is still looking for its long-lost offense early in the second quarter.

Johnson just needs to keep hitting shots and the Hawks need to play defense and they should handle Milwaukee easily.
