Dominique Wilkins Fought Back Against Rashan Michel, Landing Three Punches According To Report

Dominique Wilkins may have been born in France, raised in North Carolina, and traded to Los Angeles, but make no mistake: the Atlanta Hawks VP is ATL through and through. Rashan Michel, the apparent former NBA referee who reportedly attacked Wilkins after Wednesday night's Magic-Hawks game over a money dispute, seems to have discovered this for himself.

Sekou Smith tweets that Wilkins got in three "solid" punches during the brief fight, while his opponent landed none. No clue how tall Michel is, but Wilkins is going to have a profound reach advantage on just about anybody on earth.

Judging by his slam dunk contest history, each of those punches must have looked exactly the same, but still been impressive and technically excellent.

Also, if Michel was a referee from 1997 to 2001 as is being reported, then he was just getting into the NBA when Wilkins was on his way off to Italy. Could it be that these two men have been avoiding each other for over a decade, circling in shadows, with looming on-court violence just waiting to erupt? Sensing a movie.
